Marseille striker Ibrahima Bakayoko has
revealed he wants to leave the club after a shortage of first-team
opportunities.
The 25-year-old arrived in Marseille in 1999 from Montpellier, but has
struggled to hold down a place in the side.
The Ivory Coast captain has scored 22 goals in three years at the southern
club, and was top scorer last year with eight.
Bakayoko is under contract at Alain Perrin's side until 2005, but he hopes the
club will allow him to leave should they receive an offer.
He told www.lequipe.fr: "Last year I was the club's best scorer and passer
while being a substitute all the time.
"I have never been trusted in Marseille and I have always been put in
difficult conditions.
"I am now ready to study any offer made to me in order to play again
normally, and if I can leave, then I will leave."
