Southend manager Steve Tilson has extended the loan deal of Wolverhampton Wanderers full-back George Friend for a further month at Roots Hall.
Friend has been on loan from for the past month and has made five appearances, scoring one goal.
However, the news regarding fellow loanee Jean-Yves Mvoto is not as bright.
The 21-year-old, on loan from Sunderland, has been ruled out for at least another six weeks after suffering a setback in his recovery from a hip injury.
