Ashley Vincent has completed his permanent move to League One side Colchester from recently relegated Cheltenham on a three-year deal.
Vincent, 24, spent the last two months of the season on loan with the U's and manager Paul Lambert has taken up the option of a permanent deal, which ties the winger to the club until 2012.
The former Wolves trainee played just six games at the Essex based club, scoring on the last day of the season, and teams up with ex-Cheltenham team mate Steven Gillespie at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
He is the fourth player to depart Whaddon Road following their relegation to League Two after Lloyd Owusu, Ian Westlake and Alex Russell were all released.
