Blackpool winger Hameur Bouazza (groin) could be passed fit for his first Blackpool start of 2010, while Billy Clarke (knee) is set to return after three months out and fellow striker Gary Taylor-Fletcher is hopeful of shaking off a groin injury. Defender Rob Edwards is available after a two-game ban.

Gareth McAuley (groin) is unlikely to feature after missing Northern Ireland's game in midweek, while Damien Delaney is trying to shake off a similar, though less serious, problem. Goalkeeper Richard Wright is in contention for the first time since injuring knee ligaments in November, but winger Luciano Civelli (knee) remains sidelined.

Doncaster will be without skipper Brian Stock, whose back injury could jeopardise his participation for the rest of the season, while central defenders Shelton Martis (hamstring), Adam Lockwood (foot) and Jason Shackell (groin) are all sidelined. Boro boss Gordon Strachan will make a late decision on striker Scott McDonald, who had injections to address the after-effects of hernia surgery when he saw his specialist last week. Defender Emanuel Pogatetz (knee) remains a doubt, but long-term absentees Chris Riggott (hamstring) and Rhys Williams (pelvis) are back in training.

Paddy McCarthy (shoulder) remains on the casualty list, but midfielder Neil Danns could return after resting his back injury against Doncaster.

On-loan defender Marcel Seip could return for the Blades after being unable to play against parent club Plymouth last week, but manager Kevin Blackwell is hoping to name an otherwise unchanged starting line-up. Striker Darius Henderson sits out the second match of a three-game ban.

Dean Leacock (knee) also played in that game and is on the verge of a return, while Jay McEveley completes a two-match suspension.

Winger Will Buckley is pushing to make his Watford debut, having been sidelined with a thigh problem since joining from Rochdale in January. Barnsley manager Mark Robins could name an unchanged line-up, with defender Rob Kozluk not expected to return following a knee injury. Robins has no new injury or suspension problems.

For Swansea, Ferrie Bodde has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a recurrence of his cruciate knee ligament injury, but Darren Pratley (knee) is available. Cedric van der Gun has recovered from a hamstring problem, but captain Garry Monk (calf), Joe Allen (knee), Andrea Orlandi (hamstring), Jordi Lopez (ankle), Albert Serran (hamstring) and Fede Bessone (calf) are all out, while Gorka Pintado is banned.
