Everton boss David Moyes is wary of the threat of Didier Drogba - but believes he has the perfect man to counter the in-form Chelsea striker in Louis Saha.

Drogba travels to Goodison Park with Chelsea on Wednesday night in red-hot form after scoring both goals in Sunday's 2-0 defeat of Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

The Ivorian has scored 22 goals in all competitions for the Barclays Premier League leaders and Moyes can find few flaws in his game.

Moyes said: "At the moment he looks a really good player.

"He is strong, he can run, he can head it, he can take free-kicks.

"He has got a bit of everything and that makes him very difficult to play against.

"He can go down easily when he has to as well, at times, so I think he has an awful lot the modern footballer has if he wants to be at the top.

"And he is certainly at the top of his game at this moment in time."

Yet while Everton's defence may have their work cut out watching Drogba, Moyes believes his own star forward Saha can cause the visitors plenty of problems.

The Frenchman has enjoyed a new lease of life since joining the Toffees at the beginning of last season after four injury-ravaged years at Manchester United.

He has not scored for four games but has still found the net 13 times this season and last week committed to a new two-year contract.

Moyes said: "We try to keep good players here and we have done that with Louis.

"We look forward to Louis getting a few more goals between now and the end of the season.

"I think he has always been in the top bracket of strikers.

"Everyone who has played against him and the managers who have worked with him would tell you he has undoubted ability.

"We have seen that and we want to keep seeing that."

Everton have had little time to dwell on the Merseyside derby loss to Liverpool which ended a nine-match unbeaten run last weekend.

But defeat in last season's FA Cup final notwithstanding, Moyes' men have a good recent record against Chelsea.

The two clubs have drawn their last three Premier League meetings, the latest being a 3-3 thriller in December.

Moyes said: "It is a big game at Goodison against one of the top teams in the country and we will have to play well to get a result.

"But we have had some good games against them. I think it was a draw last season, although in the cup competitions they have done us.

"That is because of the quality of players they have and partly because they spend heavily.

"We don't, so we have to try to compete the best we can and over the last year or two we have done that."

The clash will once again see sacked England captain John Terry in the spotlight but Moyes would not be drawn on the media speculation surrounding the Chelsea star.

Moyes said: "I've not got an opinion on it, it is not my business. He is a very good player, I know that."
