All of Sunday's Eredivisie fixtures have been postponed because of the heavy snow and freezing conditions which have swept across Europe in recent days.
The KNVB made the decision to call off the matches for safety reasons, with several pitches under a layer of snow while many of the roads around the stadia have been deemed unsafe to travel on.
NEC Nijmegen's clash with Vitesse Arnhem was the first to be called off early this morning, followed by FC Groningen's meeting with Heerenveen at Euroborg Stadion.
FC Utrecht v FC Twente, NAC Breda v Ajax and Roda JC v PSV Eindhoven have also fallen foul of the cold snap.
The postponements mean leaders Twente will preserve their two-point advantage over PSV heading into the winter break.
