Dundee won the ALBA Challenge Cup after fighting back from 2-0 down to beat Inverness 3-2 at McDairmid Park.
First Division promotion favourites Dundee headed into the game as hot favourites but found themselves 2-0 down after 33 minutes as a result of an Adam Rooney header and Nauris Bulvitis' strike.
But minutes after the break Bulvitis turned the ball into his own net to give Jock Scott's side hope before Gary Harkins levelled from close range minutes later.
Dundee continued to look the more likely to strike again and with just seven minutes to go, they claimed victory when Harkins cut back for Craig Forsyth to finish and send the 6,000 Dark Blues fans wild.
There was further misery for Terry Butcher and Caley when Dougie Imrie was sent off in stoppage time for a lunge on Pat Clarke.
Dundee boss Jocky Scott hailed the spirit of his side, telling BBC Sport: "Unfortunately we didn't take part in the first half. We allowed them far too much room and we allowed them to get two goals ahead.
"But great character from the players and it was a great performance in the second half.
"In the first half we didn't pass the ball and we didn't take care with out possession whereas in the second half we did and what a difference it makes to us.
"They were great goals - well worked, good passing and good finishes.
"When we have an urgency in our play and pass the ball, we are a good team."
Caley boss Butcher cut a frustrated figure at the final whistle but has praise for his rivals. He told BBC Sport: "We knew that they would come out at us in the second half, which they did and fair play to Dundee because they've got some wonderful strikers.
