Marseille coach Didier Deschamps has urged his players to put their European disappointment behind them and turn their attention back to the league as they prepare to take on Monaco on Sunday.
OM were soundly beaten 3-0 by Real Madrid in the Champions League last night, but Deschamps insists the scoreline was harsher than they deserved.
"We played well for an hour," he said. "We had chances in the first half and the result is severe.
"It's very heavy and people who didn't see the match could say to themselves that Real Madrid walked all over us.
"We have to lean on our first half because we did something really good as a team.
"We have to forget about this defeat and think about Sunday's game in the league."
The defeat in Madrid followed hot on the heels of a 3-2 loss at Valenciennes last weekend and Marseille will be hoping for a positive result against Monaco to put their disappointing week behind them.
Monaco might be flying high and only two points behind third-placed Marseille but they have lost two of their three away games this season.
However, they did beat OM 2-0 in a friendly last month and will be hoping for a similar result on Sunday.
Lille travel to Boulogne earlier in the day looking for a different outcome to their previous two league games, both of which saw them go a goal behind before snatching a stoppage-time equaliser.
Toulouse host Lorient in Sunday's other game.
Saturday sees Bordeaux travel to St Etienne with the faint possibility of a shock on the cards.
There may be 15 league places and 12 points between the two but there are positive signs coming from the St Etienne camp after they picked up their first away points last weekend at Monaco.
Moreover, the champions struggled to see off Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League in midweek.
Lyon will be looking to take advantage of any slip when they travel to Lens.
Meanwhile, Rennes goalkeeper Nicolas Douchez will be hoping to celebrate his first France call up with another clean sheet at home to Auxerre, having only conceded one goal at the Route de Lorient this season.
High-flying Montpellier should be confident of continuing their good start to the season against bottom side Grenoble, who have yet to record a point.
Elsewhere, Paris St Germain and Nice host Nancy and Valenciennes respectively while Le Mans visit fellow strugglers Sochaux.
