QPR have signed Tottenham midfielder Adel Taarabt on loan until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old Morocco international has been sent across London by Spurs boss Harry Redknapp to get some first-team games under his belt and goes straight into the Rangers squad for the Championship trip to Southampton on Saturday.
"Harry Redknapp told me Tottenham are not really in a position to give young players like me an opportunity right now, and he said QPR were keen on me," Taarabt told QPR's official website.
"He told me to come here and show what I can do. As soon as he told me about the move I was interested.
"Other Championship clubs came in for me as well but QPR is a team that plays football in the way I like to play. So that is why I wanted to come here."
Taarabt has made 15 appearances for Spurs, all from the bench, since joining from Lens in 2007.
