Stelios Giannakopoulos is hoping to make his Hull debut against Arsenal at Emirates Stadium on Saturday after joining the Tigers this week.
The 34-year-old midfielder was released by Bolton at the end of last season after five years at the Reebok Stadium and his only competitive football since then came with Greece at the European Championships.
Stelios told the club's website: "I wish for my debut to be on Saturday. I need some football training to get my football fitness back, but I don't think it will take too long for me to be fit and ready to play for the club.
"I want to be ready for Arsenal, but it is up to the manager and the fitness coach to see how my fitness levels compare."
