Swansea substitute Febian Brandy scored the decisive goal to give Coca-Cola League One leaders a 2-1 victory over Oldham at the Liberty Stadium.

The home side had broken the deadlock in the 67th minute when Gary McDonald turned Jason Scotland's cross into his own net before Craig Davies equalised from the penalty spot for the Latics in the 76th minute.

But on-loan Manchester United forward Brandy stroked the ball home from 12 yards five minutes from time to give Roberto Martinez's side their eighth successive home league win.

Doncaster kept the pressure up at the top of the table after they recorded a 3-0 away win over Millwall.

Goals from Jason Price (43), James Coppinger (77) and a second-half injury-time strike from Paul Green wrapped up the points for Rovers.

Nottingham Forest missed the chance to narrow the gap at the top of the able after they slipped to a 2-0 away defeat to struggling Bournemouth.

Sam Vokes struck in the 20th and 29th minute for the Cherries to leave them only two points short of safety.

Tranmere climbed into the play-off zone with a surprise 2-0 win over Leeds at Elland Road.

On-loan striker Jennison Myrie-Williams broke the deadlock in the 61st minute but it was strike partner Ian Moore who left with the biggest smile.

The former Leeds striker was resigned by Rovers boss - and father - Ronnie during the week and netted against his former club in the 69th minute.

Carlisle striker Danny Graham gave his side an important 2-1 win over promotion rivals Walsall at Brunton Park.

A 23rd-minute strike from Lee Holmes had given the visitors the lead before Marc Bridge-Wilkinson converted a 33rd-minute penalty to pull the Cumbrians level.

But Graham (75) headed home Bridge-Wilkinson's cross to give his side all three points.

Play-off hopefuls Leyton Orient were held to a 2-2 draw by Southend at Brisbane Road.

Lee Barnard had his 27th-minute opener cancelled out by Orient striker Adam Boyd who converted from the penalty spot.

Defender Peter Clarke put the Shrimpers 2-1 up in the 56th minute but Jabo Ibehre equalised in added time.

Bottom side Port Vale were reduced to 10 men and ended up on the wrong end of a 3-2 scoreline at Bristol Rovers.

Vale had led after Paul Harsley (12) and Keith Lowe (64) netted either side of Danny Coles' 13th minute goal.

But Chris Lines (81) and a Ricky Lambert penalty in the 87th minute saw Rovers take the points as Chris Herd was shown a red card for a second bookable offence.

Second-bottom Luton were hammered 4-0 at Hartlepool with goals from Richard Barker (30 and 73), Alan Thompson (61) and Joel Porter (64).

Struggling Crewe also remain in the relegation zone after two from striker Glenn Murray (23 and 45) and one from Guy Butters gave Brighton a 3-0 home win.

A 25th-minute Luke Beckett penalty and a Michael Collins strike (51) gave Huddersfield a 2-0 win at Yeovil while Gillingham and Cheltenham played out a goalless draw.

Adebayo Akinfenwa's strike three minutes from time gave Northampton a 1-1 draw at Swindon who had opened the scoring through Blair Sturrock in the 56th minute.
