Roy Hodgson has resigned as coach of Finland following their failure to qualify for Euro 2008.
Finland finished fourth in Group A, with Poland and Portugal securing qualification to next summer's finals.
The Finnish Football Association confirmed Hodgon's departure, while expressing their disappointment at his decision not to stay on as boss.
"The FA would have liked to have continued working with Roy Hodgson with whom Finland went so close to qualifying for the Euro 2008," a Finnish FA statement read.
