Sean Thornton makes it 2-2. Matt Oakley steps up for Derby and puts it in the top corner. 3-2. Substitute Jason Price is next in line for Doncaster. After a slight delay, Price keeps his cool and makes it 3-3. Adam Bolder will take Derby's next kick. He takes a long run up, sends the keeper the wrong way and it is 4-3. Sean McDaid steps up for Doncaster and scores left-footed, sending Lee Camp the wrong way. 4-4. Ryan Smith the young sub is getting ready for Derby. Excellent kick and it is 5-4 to Derby. Real pressure now on Brian Srock of Doncaster. He has to score, and he has. 5-5.

It is sudden death now, who will feel the pressure most? Darren Moore will take Derby's sixth spot-kick. He strokes it into the corner and it is 6-5. Gareth Roberts makes it 6-6, the standard of penalties has been superb so far. Mo Camara is next in line for Derby. He sends the keeper the wrong way and it is 7-6. 2218: It's all over and it is a penalty shoot-out at Belle Vue.

2200: Derby are down to ten men, goalscorer Arturo Lupoli has been sent off and the game looks to be heading for a penalty shoot-out.

2156: Liverpool have won in the PRemiership after two straight losses, beating Newcastle 2-0 at Anfield.

2154: Middlesbrough are out of the Carling Cup, crashing 1-0 at home against Notts County. What a result for the League Two side!

2151: Hearts have progressed through their CIS Cup tie at Alloa, winning 4-0.

2147: Bruno Aguiar has added a fourth goal for Hearts against Alloa at Recreation Park. It is 4-0 to the Tynecastle club with just a few minutes to go.

2143: In Serie A, both AC Milan and Inter have picked up 1-0 wins over Ascoli and Roma respectively.

2142: Juno Makela has completed his hat-trick for Hearts at Alloa and Valdas Ivanauskas' men lead 3-0 with around five minutes to go.

2141: Doncaster and Derby are going to extra time at Belle Vue, what a fightback by Derby. They were 3-0 down but pulled it back to 3-3!

2140: Wycombe have beaten Premiership Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage, another shock and Paul Lambert is having a great time in charge of Wycombe. They are top of League Two and now in the third round of the Carling Cup.

2139: Liverpool have surely sealed victory against Newcastle through an amazing goal by Xavi Alonso. He has hit it from inside his own half! Steve Harper lost his footing and the ball sailed past him. What a goal!

2137: Aston Villa have edged out Scunthorpe 2-1 at Glanford Park. Chesterfield have pulled off a terrific upset against Manchester City, triumphing 2-1 at Saltergate.

2134: Hibs and Motherwell have progressed in their CIS Cup ties tonight. Hibs have beaten Gretna 6-0, while Motherwell have cruised past Queens Park 3-0. The final whistle has gone at East End Park and Rangers are through to the quarter-finals of the CIS Cup, winning 2-0 against Dunfermline.

2133: Derby have completed an amazing comeback at Belle Vue against Doncaster, it's 3-3 now! Unbelievable drama and it's Arturo Lupoli, on-loan from Arsenal, has scored the goal. It looks like it will be going to extra-time, who would have thought ir?

2131: Manchester City, Middlesbrough and Fulham are crashing out of the Carling Cup as it stands, can any of the side's force extra time?

2122: Fabio Aurelio forces Steve Harper into a save from a free-kick at Anfield. Liverpool are dominant but it is still only 1-0.

2121: Derby have scored again and it is now 3-2 to Doncaster, Darren Moore has just powered in a header, what a comeback it would be if they could manage a third goal.

2120: Scunthorpe are giving Aston Villa a frightt at Glanford Park, Billy Sharp has reduced the defecit to 2-1 and almost immediately, Steve Davis hits the post for Villa! It has been some game.

2119: Hibs are 6-0 up on last season's Scottish Cup finalists Gretna, Morroccan Benjelloun on the scoresheet this time.

2118: Can Derby make it a nervous finish at Belle Vue, they have a goal back, it may have been an own goal but Steve Howard will claim it.

2116: Kris Boyd gets a goal at last for Rangers. He has missed a few good chances tonight but he has just scored an absolute cracker, turning his man and volley home from thirty yards. Brillian stuff from Boyd and Paul Le Guen will be a happy man.

2111: Chesterfield could be about to cause a huge upset at Saltergate, They have come from a goal behind to lead Manchester City 2-1 through Derek Niven. Could City be heading for a fourth away defeat of the season?

2110: Dean Shiels has his second goal of the game for Hibs and they now lead 5-0. This will be Gretna's third match without a win, they are finding life tough at a higher level.

2109: Rangers have made the breakthrough at East End Park against Dunfermline in the CIS Cup although it has taken an own goal by Bamba after a ball across the box by Alan Hutton. A real blow for Dunfermline.

2106: Aston Villa look safe now, they have gone 2-0 up at Scunthorpe through Juan Pablo Angel. Scunthorpe have certainly played their part but Villa should progress now.

2104: Given Hearts goalscoring problems, Juno Makela hass done his chances of earning a starting place no harm at all in the CIS Cup tie at Alloa. He has scored his second goal of the game and Hearts lead 2-0.

2102: Aston Villa are leading Scunthorpe 1-0, but it is a game full of chances, and it could still go either way.

2101: Doncaster look to have sealed victory at Belle Vue against Derby. Jonathan Forte has the goal and the Derby defence was all at sea. On this evidence, Rams boss Billy Davies has a big job on his hands.

2100: Richie Foran has a hat-trick and Motherwell are 3-0 up at Queens Park in the CIS Cup.

2058: Almost a complete disaster for Scunthorpe at home to Aston Villa. Steven Foster tries to clear the ball but only succeeds in hitting his own bar! What an own goal that would have been!

2056: Jankulovski has broken the deadlock for AC Milan in their Serie A clash at home to Ascoli.

2054: Manchester City have been pegged back by Chesterfield at Saltergate, Caleb Folan on the scoresheet. It is no less than they deserve, can they go on and win the tie now?

2053: Fulham have been handed a lifeline just afterthe break in their tie against Wycombe and it is Heidar Heluson who has scored the goal. He came close earlier on, this time it is in the back of the net. The deficit is halved and it is 2-1 to Wycombe.

2051: Motherwell have doubled their lead in the CIS Cup tie away to Queens Park and it is Richie Foran with his second goal of the game. DOesn't look like their will be an upset there, despite Motherwell's poor start to the season.

2049: Scunthorpe are almost handed an equaliser by Aston Villa goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen as he spills the ball from s speculative shot but he does well to save the rebound as Billy Sharp was closing in.

2032: Hearts have made the breakthrough against Alloa in the CIS Cup and it is youngster Juno Makela on the scoresheet.

2030: Liverpool have gone 1-0 up on Newcastle at Anfield. Stevie Finnan fizzed an excellent ball across goal and Dirk Kuyt gets his first Liverpool goal.

2029: Wycombe have gone 2-0 up at Craven Cottage against Fulham, what a shock in store there! Tommy Mooney has doubled the Chairboys' lead from the spot. Bocanegra had brought down the other scorer Jermaine Easter inside the box and the referee had no option.

2027: Aston Villa have a penalty to be taken by Juan Pablo Angel against Scunthorpe. Angel takes it straght at Murphy who saves but Angel is there to knock in the rebound. 1-0 to Aston Villa.

2026: There could be a big shock on the cards at the Riverside Stadium as Notts County have taken the lead against Middlesbrough. Itcham N'Toya has the goal, what a result that would be for County.

2024: Manchester City have gone in front against Chesterfield against the run of play. A real sucker punch for the League One side, and it is Samaras who gets the goal after Corradi's shot came off the post.

2023: Fulham go close to grabbing an equaliser against Wycombe through Heidur Helguson but the away side manage to clear the ball of the line and clear the danger.

2022: Inter Milan are 1-0 up in the top of the table clash in Serie A against Roma, Hernan Crespo has the goal.

2020: Gareth Barry has also hit the bar for Aston Villa! They are piling on the pressure but still no goals at Glanford Park.

2017: Aston Villa have hit the bar against Scunthorpe through Juan Pablo Angel and it seems only a matter of time before Villa go in front.

1930: Manchester City have named a strong side for their trip to Chesterfield although they are without Andreas Isaksson, Hatem Trabelsi and Ousmane Dabo. Paul Dickov drops to the bench with Claudio Reyna and Georgos Samaras in the starting eleven.

1926: Liverpool make two changes to their side for the Premiership clash with Newcastle at Anfield. Newcastle's only change sees Steve Harper replacing Shay Given in goal. Rafa Benitez makes two changes to his side with Stephen Warnock and Jermaine Pennant dropping out to be replaced by Fabio Aurelio and Luis Garcia.

1925: Aston Villa make one change from the side which drew 0-0 at Watford at the weekend. Aaron Hughes replaces Martin Laursen in the only change to Martin O'Neill's side. Scunthorpe defender Steve Foster is fit while Andy Keogh replaces Steve Torpey up front.
