Wolves have been handed a huge boost as returning goalkeeper Matt Murray came through his first piece of match action for 15 months unscathed.
The 27-year-old, who suffered cruciate knee ligament damage back in July last year, played the first 45 minutes of the club's 3-2 Birmingham Senior Cup win over Nuneaton Town - conceding once just before the break.
"It was good to get 45 minutes in and the main thing is that I didn't feel any ill-effects," Murray said on the club's official website. "So it's another tick in the box on the way back to full fitness.
"The knee felt fine and it was just great to be out there talking to a defence and being involved again."
Murray also gave thanks to goalkeeping coach Pat Mountain and the club's medical staff for his development, adding: "Pat has been working hard with me and he told me to take the game as another step and not to expect miracles. He has been excellent with me - a good influence when I might have maybe pushed too hard and overdone things.
"I would like to thank Pat and the medical staff for their hard work with me because I am out of the gym and back on the training field. Now I just want to get my match sharpness back and that can only come with playing more games."
