FC Utrecht defender Francis Dickoh has agreed a new contract with the Eredivisie club.

The 26-year-old centre-back, whose old deal was due to end in June 2010, has now signed for an extra year having arrived in 2006.

"We know Francis, after three seasons, as a fine player. It's very good that he will stay with us until the summer of 2011," said technical director Foeke Booy on the club's website.

Dickoh added: "I feel great in Utrecht, at the club but also in the city, it's great to live in.

"The new direction that FC Utrecht have taken is ambitious and it's nice that I fit into the future plans.

"I hope for and count on two super years in Utrecht."
