Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain does not believe the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo would cause any unrest in the Primera Liga champions' camp.
There have been some suggestions that if Madrid were to achieve their goal and land Ronaldo this summer it might create an unsettling effect on the other players, with concerns of a return to the days of the 'Galacticos' era when superstars ruled the roost at the Bernabeu.
However, Higuain was keen to dismiss those thoughts, insisting the Manchester United flyer would be a welcome addition to the Spanish giants' ranks.
When asked if he thought Ronaldo's arrival would affect the dressing room negatively, Higuain said in Spanish newspaper AS: "I'm sure that wouldn't be the case. If he comes this would not happen, just the opposite.
"I think the same as everyone else, that he is a great player and that there has been a lot of expectation created around his signing for Real Madrid. If he comes here he would be welcome and our team would be much better.
"Any player would like to have Cristiano Ronaldo in their team."
