Ajax striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar insists he will only leave the club if the perfect offer comes along.

The highly-rated Holland international has been linked with a move to Spanish champions Real Madrid.

But he told Ajax's official website, www.ajax.nl: "I must have a real good feeling about a club if I am to leave Ajax.

"There must be something so I can say it feels good, this is what I want to do."

He added: "All countries have something. Spain has something of everything; England has great crowds and a nice football atmosphere. In Italy the atmosphere in the stadiums is less good, but the people there are football mad. They really live for football."

Huntelaar admits incoming Ajax coach Marco van Basten, who will take over at the Amsterdam ArenA in the summer, is keen to keep him at the club.

The Eredivisie's top scorer added: "He would like to see me stay with Ajax. I will speak with Ajax soon. That's why I will just wait and see what happens."
