Nicolas Anelka has refused to hide his bitterness at being snubbed by France coach Raymond Domenech for the World Cup.
The Fenerbahce striker, who won the 2000 European Championships with Les Bleus, has now been overlooked for three World Cup squads after Domenech left him out of the 23-man party he unveiled last Sunday.
Anelka was recalled by Domenech in November following a three-year absence from the national team.
The 27-year-old had fallen out with previous boss Jacques Santini when he refused a cap after being called up as an understudy for the injured Sidney Govou.
Having played three friendlies and scoring one goal since his return, Anelka assumed he had secured his seat on the plane to Germany, but now believes Domenech had no intention of including him.
"I will not watch the World Cup," Anelka told Le Journal du Dimanche.
"As usual, I was not judged on my sporting qualities. I feel Domenech called me back just so that I could show my potential.
"I even scored. I think that right from the start, he had no intention of taking me on board anyway.
"I deserved a place."
