Drive to SPL profits
2012 ended in some style in the SPL as St Mirren picked up only their third away win of the calendar year with a thrilling 4-3 success at Dundee United. And with a big derby as part of the opening round of fixtures in 2013 it could be an equally exciting start to the new year.

In Edinburgh on Thursday, Hearts and Hibs do battle for the third time this season. Hearts' long unbeaten derby run came to an end when they were knocked out of the Scottish Cup at Easter Road
They were also held at the same venue in the league earlier in the season which means they've yet to beat their city rivals since the famous/infamous Scottish Cup final back in May.
Derby games generally seem to bring out the best in Hearts but it will be interesting to see how Hibs approach the game having finally got the winless monkey off their back in the Cup.
For both sides, there could be a number of players taking part in their last Edinburgh derby. Hearts have financial problems while Hibs look set to lose their loan stars.
One player who could depart Tynecastle is Andrew Driver.
The winger has been linked with moves to the Premier League and Championship in England in the past and was once the subject of a bid from Burnley which could have led to the Jambos receiving somewhere in the region of £4million.
How they must wish they had accepted that offer now for Driver is a far cry from the player he was then. But in recent weeks his form has improved and he is posing more of a threat on the left than he has for a while.
He caused Hibs trouble at Easter Road in the Scottish Cup while one of his two goals this season was in Leith in August. Given his upturn in form, 4/1 looks slightly too big on him to score at anytime and is worth backing.
