QPR remain odds-on for relegation from the Premier League despite notching their first win of the season on Saturday.

The R's won at the 17th attempt, beating Fulham 2-1 at Loftus Road thanks to two goals from Adel Taarabt.

After holding on following Mladen Petric's late goal made things nervy in west London, they were duly lengthened for relegation and can now be backed at a best of 8/11 (BetVictor, Stan James).

William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams said: "QPR fans will be celebrating their first win of the season but they will need plenty more of those if they are to defy the odds and stay in the top flight."

QPR climb off the bottom of the table, above Reading, as a result and are now within five points of safety. The Royals are the other side odds-on across the board.

Liverpool 1 - 3 A Villa
Man Utd 3 - 1 Sunderland
Stoke City 1 - 1 Everton
QPR 2 - 1 Fulham
Norwich 2 - 1 Wigan
Newcastle 1 - 3 Man City

Southampton are the other team set to go down, according to prices, but they are odds-against in places at a general 11/10.

Neither Reading nor Southampton were in action on Saturday.

Wigan were, however, and they were cut in the market after losing 2-1 at Norwich. The Latics, who currently sit in the bottom three, are now as short as 11/10 for the drop but 13/8 is available if you shop around.

Sunderland were also trimmed after an expected defeat at Manchester United. They are 10/3 shots with Ladbrokes after going down 3-1.

Aston Villa (Ladbrokes and William Hill) are out to 4/1 after a shock 3-1 victory at Liverpool.

There was little change in the title betting after both Manchester clubs pocketed three points.

City won 3-1 at Newcastle before United saw off Sunderland by the same scoreline.

City are 9/4 shots with Ladbrokes and totesport with United 8/15 with BetVictor and Boylesports.

Chelsea, currently away at the Club World Cup, are next best at 16/1.
