Martin set to quit Roots Hall
Southend have placed Dave Martin on the transfer list as the winger has fallen out of favour since joining from Derby in January.
The 27-year-old's manager has now confirmed that other clubs have been notified of his availability.
Martin scored three times in his first 10 appearances for the Blues, but has started just two of their last 13 matches.
Sturrock told the Echo: "I had a full and frank discussion with David about things and he wants to be playing first team football so we've made clubs aware of his availability.
"His name has been circulated and if he can sort something out for himself then we won't stand in his way.
"Knowing David, I also know he will also remain professional and continue to give 100% for us if he's called upon."
