With star striker Diego Costa on his way to Chelsea and veteran forward David Villa also leaving this summer, Atletico will need a new-look strikeforce next season as they attempt to defend their first La Liga title in almost 20 years.
The likes of Mario Mandzukic, Romelu Lukaku and Jackson Martinez have all been touted as possible signings, but it is Manchester City striker Negredo - who has also been linked with Atletico - that Moya would most like to see brought in.
"On a personal level, among all of them, I can say that he is my preferred choice, the ideal one, especially because I know him. He's Spanish and I like him a lot," said Moya, who also admitted any of the other forwards mentioned would be welcome additions as well.
"But if we're talking about Mandzukic, Jackson or Lukaku, they are also among the top 20 strikers in the world."
As well as Costa and Villa, Atletico could also lose several more of the side that won the Primera Division and reached the final of the Champions League, with Thibaut Courtois, Tiago, Filipe Luis and Joao Miranda all having left the club or the subject of transfer speculation.
Former Getafe, Valencia and Real Mallorca custodian Moya, who has been brought in to help cover the loss of Courtois as the Belgium international returns to parent club Chelsea, has urged the Atletico fans not to panic, though.
He told Spanish newspaper AS: "As much as 20 per cent of the starting line-up of the last two years could be going, but the club have told me that the intention is to continue being a great team, and if an important player leaves they will go for another of the same level."
