Two goals each from Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge gave the outsiders in the four-horse race a dramatic 4-3 victory at Anfield which enabled them to move within four points of leaders Chelsea as well as maintaining the pressure on fellow contenders Arsenal and Manchester City.

Henderson had the final word in his side's success, forcing home from point-blank range in the 74th minute after Swansea had earlier come from 2-0 and 3-2 down.

Manchester City and Chelsea remain at the top of the betting at 11/8 and 6/4 respectively while Arsenal are 15/2 after all three sides won on Saturday.

Later on Sunday, fifth-placed Tottenham suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat at struggling Norwich to slip six points adrift of Liverpool.

Tim Sherwood's side are now 4/1 to finish in the top four, with the Reds cut further to 1/8.

The result at Carrow Road also lifted the Canaries four points above third-bottom Sunderland so they are now 15/8 for relegation.

Aston Villa's defeat to Newcastle in Sunday's other game means they are level on points with Norwich so Paul Lambert's side have been trimmed to 9/1 for the drop.
