Reports had suggested the 19-year-old could be set for a move to Swansea City should the Reds manage to capture FC Basel winger Mohamed Salah.

Sterling has featured 15 times in the Premier League so far this campaign, scoring on three occasions, and assistant boss Colin Pascoe is adamant the England youngster will not be leaving during the January transfer window.

"We just laughed at that really," he told the Liverpool Echo.

"Raheem has been brilliant this season. He won't be going anywhere."

Salah, who is a 21-year-old Egypt international, is also a reported target for Chelsea but his £12million valuation is yet to be met.
