Wigan v Ipswich

Wigan should be boosted by the return of winger Shaun Maloney. The Scotland international was rested for the 0-0 draw with Zulte-Waregem in the Europa League as manager Owen Coyle made seven changes. Ben Watson and Leon Barnett look set to return to the starting line-up while Marc-Antoine Fortune will hope for a recall. Striker Grant Holt is still out with a knee injury and he is joined in the treatment room by Ali Al Habsi (shoulder), Gary Caldwell (hip) and Ivan Ramis (knee).

Ipswich winger Paul Anderson will be assessed, having missed the midweek 2-1 victory over Yeovil with a groin injury. Daryl Murphy was recalled in place of Frank Nouble for the Yeovil game and is expected to keep his place having scored Ipswich's first goal. Tyrone Mings continues his recovery from a knee injury and misses out.
