Dale Tempest has been a professional footballer; now he is Sky Bet's PR guru.
The former Fulham, Huddersfield and Colchester striker knows both sides of the betting fence - he's got his finger on the pulse of the markets as both a punter and a bookmaker.
In his column for us, he focuses on some of the lesser-known markets and explores the mindset of the bookies.
He's already provided a team-by-team preview of the new Premier League season, providing a best bet for each side, and now details his best bets for the opening day of the top-flight campaign, although he heads to Sky Bet League One for his banker.
All eyes will be on the Barclays Premier League this weekend and no doubt a lot of punters will be getting stuck into the short-priced favourites.
The City, United, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal six-fold comes to around 9/1 and if all six win, I can guarantee bookmakers will be wishing the football season would be starting a bit later.
Of the six, the one for me that is the standout game where the bookies have a chance of getting a result is Swansea v Manchester United.
I was hugely impressed with the Swans last year, they competed well against all the top sides and people forget that it was Chelsea they knocked out of the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup on their way to taking that trophy.
We start the Premier League season always assuming that what we remember from the last campaign will still be in place but a change of managers and a change of personnel always means that we shouldn't assume anything.
One team I will be backing on Saturday is Southampton away at West Bromwich Albion at 11/5. The signing of Victor Wanyama from Celtic is, I think, a great piece of business and Wanyama and Morgan Schneiderlin as a defensive pair in the centre of midfield should make Southampton one of the toughest teams to beat.
Outside of that in the Premier League, Norwich v Everton and Sunderland v Fulham have draw written all over them but not to a huge investment and, in fact, my banker of the weekend actually comes in Sky Bet League One where I think Brentford to win at Gillingham is a cracking bet at 11/10.
The Gills have had a tough start to life in League One, they've lost all three games including the Cup game. They lost 4-0 away at Wolves last week and I fully expect a very strong Brentford side to take all three points.
