Our Nick Hext makes Peterborough his stand-out selection for the midweek Football League action.

Darren Ferguson can enjoy victory with Peterborough at Leeds.

There is plenty of Football League action to digest in midweek but only three games for fans in the Championship to enjoy.

One of those matches in the second tier is at Elland Road where play-off chasers Leeds host strugglers Peterborough and I reckon a surprise is on the cards.

A win will definitely see Darren Ferguson's side escape the bottom three and there are reasons for fans of the London Road outfit to be optimistic.

Darren Ferguson's side have won two of their previous three away games - 3-2 at Blackburn and 5-1 against Millwall - and, like plenty of their fellow relegation candidates, have upped their performances in recent times.

Ferguson is certainly looking at the positives ahead of the trip to Yorkshire and will have his men ready for the contest.

"That (climbing out of the relegation zone) is a big incentive for everyone at the football club," he said.

"I am looking forward to it, the players are looking forward it and it should be a cracking game.

"It is a big pitch and we have done well away from home this season with excellent wins at Cardiff, Hull, Blackburn and, of course, the recent win at Millwall.

"It is the business end of the season now and we have the character in the dressing room to be up for the challenge."

Leeds are playing pretty well at the moment but a failure to convert leads into wins in their previous two matches against Crystal Palace and Leicester has caused frustration for boss Neil Warnock.

The pressure is always on the hosts at Elland Road so expect restlessness if Peterborough get on the front foot.

Get with the 10/3 for the away win as Posh's battle for survival continues.
