Adkins backed for Saints exit
Southampton boss Nigel Adkins has surprisingly been backed by punters to become Blackpool's new manager.

Adkins, whose current side at rock bottom of the Premier League with just four points from their opening 10 games, has seen his odds in the next Blackpool boss market collapse.
By Tuesday lunchtime, Sky Bet were into 6/1 from 50/1, with BetVictor going further - into 5/2 from 66s after "a flood of money". Portsmouth chief Michael Appleton remained the favourite, however.
In a related price move, Adkins was also cut to be the first Premier League manager to leave his post. He replaces QPR's Mark Hughes as the favourite in that market.
Ladbrokes and Paddy Power were offering a best of 6/5 in the 'sack race'; betting come Tuesday lunchtime, with several firms odds-on.
Hughes was out to 4/1 with Sky Bet, who made Adkins 1/4, citing "shrewd cash" from their customers.
Their Chris Spicer said he would be surprised if Adkins were to move north.
"I think it's classic case of a manager being on the brink of leaving one job and punters think he's going to another," he said.
"I'd have thought it would take a least a week for Adkins to sort out leaving Southampton and the Blackpool job will also be relatively low-paid."
Meanwhile, BetVictor's Charlie McCann described the market changes as "one of the craziest mornings of football manager betting that I can remember".
