Valencia have signed Argentina international Lucas Orban from Bordeaux.

The 25-year-old left-back, who has won one cap for his country, has joined the Spanish club on a five-year deal and will help cover the departures of defensive trio Jeremy Mathieu, Aly Cissokho and Philippe Senderos this summer.

A Valencia statement read: "Valencia and Bordeaux have reached an agreement on the transfer of Argentinian international defender Lucas Orban, who joins Valencia on a deal through to June 30th, 2019."

Orban, who moved to Bordeaux from Tigre in 2013 having started his career at River Plate, said at his Valencia presentation on Monday: "I'm fulfilling the dream of my life and my professional career to be at one of the biggest clubs in Spain. I'm happy and pleased."

Orban has been included in Valencia's 22-man squad for Tuesday's friendly against Manchester United.
