Belgium served notice of their status as ones to watch at the World Cup with a 2-0 win in Sweden.

Romelu Lukaku scored in the first half and his Chelsea club-mate Eden Hazard scored a 78th-minute clincher for the Red Devils.

The United States recorded a 2-1 win over Turkey in New Jersey.

Full-back Fabian Johnson opened the scoring with a beautifully-taken volley after a one-two with Michael Bradley.

And Clint Dempsey's scrappy goal proved decisive for Jurgen Klinsmann's side as Geoff Cameron's handball allowed Selcuk Inan to cut the deficit with a late penalty.
