Ajax moved a step closer to their fourth consecutive Eredivisie title with a 2-0 win away at struggling RKC, while Feyenoord beat Heracles.

Joel Veltman and Davy Klaassen scored the goals in the first-half and the Amsterdammers could now claim their 33rd title with victory at Vitesse Arnhem on Sunday.

Second-placed Feyenoord are eight points behind with four games remaining and they secured a fourth consecutive win with a 2-1 victory at 10-man Heracles.

Iliass Bel Hassani put the home side ahead but Mitchell Te Vrede and Tonny Vilhena turned the game on its head before Simon Cziommer was sent off late on.

ADO Den Haag gave their survival hopes a boost as they picked up an unexpected point away at nine-man FC Twente.

Felipe Gutierrez put Twente ahead early but Rasmus Bengtsson was sent off before Michiel Kramer levelled things up and Luc Castaignos was also sent off with two minutes remaining.

ADO now sit four points above the last play-off relegation spot, level with Go Ahead Eagles and NAC who went head to head on Wednesday night.

Jarchinio Antonia gave Go Ahead Eagles the lead, Jordy Buijs equalised but a Henrico Drost own goal handed the hosts a 2-1 win and all three points.

In the day's other game, Jacob Mulenga scored the only goal as FC Utrecht beat Cambuur Leeuwarden 1-0 at home, with Lucas Bijker sent off for the visitors.
