The charges relate to the Sky Bet Championship fixture against east midlands rivals Leicester at the City Ground February 19.
During the 2-2 draw between the two sides Davies was sent to the stands by referee Anthony Taylor. The Scot was angry that Foxes defender Wes Morgan escaped a red card after conceding a first-half penalty for a foul on Jamie Mackie.
Davies has admitted the first breach which alleges that he used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards the referee.
However, he denies the second breach of improper conduct, which alleges that he deliberately made contact with the Mr Taylor.
An FA statement confirmed: "Davies has requested a non-personal hearing, the date of which will be set in due course."
