Liverpool v Swansea (1330 GMT)

Glen Johnson returns to the Liverpool squad after more than a month out with ankle and groin problems. Midfielder Lucas Leiva is also recovering well from a knee problem but full-back Jose Enrique has gone to the United States to see a specialist about his own knee trouble.

Swansea appear to have emerged injury-free from their Europa League encounter against Napoli with midfielder Jonjo Shelvey showing no ill-effects from his recent hamstring strain but a return for star striker Michu (soreness) appears unlikely.

Villa manager Paul Lambert has no new injury concerns ahead of the trip to Tyneside after his squad came through a recent warm-weather training camp in Portugal well and the Scot expects to have a largely fit group at his disposal.

Norwich v Tottenham (1600 GMT)

Norwich midfielder Jonny Howson could return from two months spent on the sidelines with a back injury but neither on-loan winger Jonas Gutierrez (calf) nor defender Ryan Bennett (thigh) are match fit. Centre-back Michael Turner (hamstring) and winger Elliott Bennett (knee) both also continue their rehabilitation.

Tottenham head coach Tim Sherwood is likely to welcome back a number of first-team regulars after several players did not travel for the 1-0 Europa League defeat to Dnipro due to niggles. The likes of Hugo Lloris, Kyle Walker, Aaron Lennon and Emmanuel Adebayor are in line to return but Sandro (calf), Jermain Defoe (hamstring), Erik Lamela and Vlad Chiriches (both back) are all set to miss out once again.
