Jose Mourinho's men have been cut from 3/1 to 9/4 to lift the trophy thanks to Fernando Torres' late strike, with City drifting out to 12/5.
That victory leaves the Blues level on points with Liverpool (7/1) and two behind early leaders Arsenal (5/1), while Manchester United continue to drift (from 9/1 to 10/1) despite coming from behind to beat Stoke 3-2.
Tottenham (16/1) climbed up to fourth with a 1-0 win over Hull and are now 11/8 to still be in the Champions League qualification places come the end of the season.
At the other end of the table, Sunderland remain odds-on for relegation despite their 2-1 victory over Newcastle in the Tyne-Wear derby, with Gus Poyet's men currently 5/6 for the drop.
Sky Bet Football Trader Chris Spicer said: "We're still somewhat unconvinced by the Black Cats' survival chances especially with creditable performances from Cardiff and Hull over the weekend.
"However, it's all change at the top with another defensive error in Vincent Kompany's absence costing City a point and their status as title favourites."
Meanwhile, punters took full advantage of Sky Bet's Price Boosts.
The Leeds-based firm had lengthened Steven Fletcher's odds to 15/2 for the first goal in the Sunderland v Newcastle game and the Black Cats' striker duly opened the scoring in his side's win.
Punters also won the day in the correct score market with a 2-1 home win in both televised games having been boosted. Both Sunderland (11/1) and Chelsea (10/1) won by that scoreline, the latter seeing off Manchester City thanks to a late goal.
