A Jonathan Tinhan strike seven minutes from time guided Montpellier into the semi-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue courtesy of a 3-2 win over Nice.

The reigning Ligue 1 champions fell behind to an Alexy Bosetti strike after 22 minutes but recovered to lead through Remy Cabella (30) and Emanuel Herrera (52).

Nice drew level through a Eric Bautheac penalty after 66 minutes but Tinhan popped up to win it for Montpellier just seven minutes after entering the action as Herrera's replacement.

In the night's other quarter-final encounter, Lille ran out comfortable 3-0 winners at Bastia.

Gianni Bruno (11) set Lille on their way to the victory before goals by Ronny Rodelin (62) and Djibril Sidibe (84) put the visitors out of sight.
