The Dons conceded an early goal to Ryan O'Leary before going on to dominate the game with three second-half goals securing a well-deserved win.
Two goals inside 11 minutes at the start of the second half from Gavin Rae and Niall McGinn put them ahead before a last-minute strike from Scott Vernon wrapped up the points for Craig Brown's side and stretched their unbeaten run to eight games.

St Johnstone recorded their fourth successive win in the league with a 2-1 victory over St Mirren at McDiarmid Park.
Nigel Hasselbaink netted the opener against his former side after 22 minutes when he collected Murray Davidson's flick-on and slotted the ball under Craig Samson.
Davidson added a second nine minutes before the break when Samson could only parry out Chris Millar's low cross, allowing the midfielder the easiest of finishes from six yards.
St Mirren responded three minutes into the second half through Lewis Guy but though they dominated the majority of the second half, the hosts claimed all three points.
Meanwhile, Motherwell called off their clash with Dundee United after a power failure in the local area.
Fir Park and neighbouring properties were affected by the power cut about 15 minutes before kick-off.
Kick-off was delayed by 10 minutes but the home club confirmed they had taken the decision to postpone the match for safety reasons.
