Aston Villa v West Brom (1600 BST)
Aston Villa fans should be feeling a bit better about life after the impressive 4-2 Capital One Cup victory at Manchester City in midweek.
Villa produced a display full of effort and exuberance to send the Premier League champions packing after extra-time and that helped create some smiles after the 4-1 defeat at Southampton last weekend.
I reckon there are plenty of reasons for Villa to feel optimistic - as can be seen in this article - and Paul Lambert certainly has his men playing with more enthusiasm.
Next up is a clash against local adversaries West Brom and the Baggies will provide a tough test after opening the Premier League season with three wins, one draw and one defeat.
This is Sunday's only game in the top-flight and it should be an evenly-matched contest to relish.
One player we expect to impress is Villa striker Darren Bent.
The England international was an unused sub in the victory over City so he will be fresh for Sunday's game and ready to build on his first Premier League goal of the season.
Bent put Villa ahead at Southampton before Saints ran riot in the second half but Lambert still found time to offer words of support for the forward after the match.
His new partnership with Christian Benteke looks like it will have plenty to offer given time and the Villa chief thinks the duo will hit it off.
"I am sure we'll be fine. Christian was a handful and Darren is a goalscorer but it will take time for them to gel," he told The Sun.
Lambert added of Bent's goal against Southampton: "That's Darren to a tee. That's how he has made a living out of the game with the way he can score."
You can get 2/1 with Stan James for Bent to strike on Saturday and we reckon that is the good value with the former Sunderland and Spurs man primed to go on a scoring run.
Verdict: Aston Villa 2 West Brom 1
