Scotland international Hutton has found himself frozen out of the first-team picture since Lambert's arrival at Villa Park.
The 27-year-old has been forced to train away from the first team with the club trying and failing to offload him during the summer transfer window.
Former Rangers and Tottenham full-back Hutton admits he finds himself in a difficult situation, but he hopes to force himself back into first-team contention.
"It's frustrating," said Hutton.
"I work hard every time I step out on the training pitch. I also do extra work on my own. I pride myself on my fitness.
"As a footballer, it is the worst situation to be in, sitting and not getting the chance to play. It's not ideal.
"It's hard to take, but the only thing I can do is keep working hard and show him I'm ready if needed."
