Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has declared the transfer market closed, at least as far as any new signings are concerned.

There won't be any more new faces in the Bayern squad.

The treble winners are going to stick with the signings of Mario Gotze, Jan Kirchhoff and Thiago Alcantara this summer and not add any further new faces to the playing squad - not even Robert Lewandowski.

"Dortmund's comments were unmistakable, so we have to respect that also," Rummenigge told Kicker magazine, referencing Borussia Dortmund's refusal to sell them their Polish striker.

"We now have the squad the way we want it."

Gotze and Thiago in particular should strengthen a side who steamrollered all opposition on the way to the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League last season, according to Rummenigge.

"We signed Gotze because we believe he is the greatest talent of his year group in Germany and Europe," he said.

"With Thiago, you could see that it was a good recommendation of the coach.

"He has characteristics that we've never had at Bayern Munich before."

The door may not be closed on sales of players, however, with Luiz Gustavo most likely to leave.

He is attracting interest from Wolfsburg and now appears to want to listen to what they have to offer after initially suggesting he would like to stay with Bayern and fight for his place.
