FL Hour: Phillips' Ince advice
Also on on Thursday's show were Dean Windass, former Birmingham, Charlton and Hull midfielder Bryan Hughes, Bradford's joint chairman Brian Lawn, Aldershot's Guy Branston, Doncaster's Dave Syers and Wolves' Stephen Ward.
Phillips hailed Ince's talent but hopes he stays with Blackpool to improve his game, Hughes explained the difficulties of finding a new club with the financial constraints in football today and Lawn explains how he once sacked his mother for the good of the business.
Neither Branston nor Windass can understand the recent sacking of Mickey Mellon, Ward discusses how his side are adapting to Stale Solbakken's style of play, Syers praises the talents of Robbie Blake, and Branston and Lawn outline their respect for each other live on air.
Phillips said: "Similar to his Dad, he is an unbelieveable talent. He may move on in January should an offer come in, but I hope he stays to learn and improve. But knowing the chairman, he may not have a choice."
Lawn said: "You have to do whatever it takes for the good of the business, regardless of the consequences. We have the wrong shaped ball to get anything from Bradford council.
