Aberdeen defender Russell Anderson has had his red card rescinded after the club's appeal was upheld by the Scottish Football Association.

Anderson: Red card rescinded

Anderson was dismissed by referee George Salmond during Saturday's Clydesdale Bank Premier League game at Inverness, which ended 1-1.

He was given his marching orders for bringing down Shane Sutherland inside the box and Richie Foran converted the resulting penalty for the opening goal for the home side.

However, a claim of wrongful dismissal was accepted by an SFA fast track tribunal which convened today to consider the case and the red card has been scrapped.
