The 20-year-old, who made his international debut for Italy against England last week, has subsequently joined Bologna on loan for the 2012-13 season.
A statement on juventus.com read: "Juventus and Atalanta have agreed to a co-ownership deal that will see the Bianconeri loan Gabbiadini to Bologna until June 30, 2013."
As part of the deal, La Vecchia have allowed Australian midfielder James Troisi, 24, to represent Atalanta for the coming season in a similar co-ownership arrangement.
Troisi passed a medical with Juve on Thursday to complete his transfer from Turkish club Kayserispor.
(reopens) Gabbiadini later told Bologna's official website: "It will be a difficult season but the early indications are promising.
"I left Bergamo because I thought moving far away from home would help me to grow.
"I chose Bologna because I like the players here and they all said good things about (Stefano) Pioli.
"I want to emulate the greats and the one I watch the most is (Diego) Milito."
