A standout season in a Bundesliga title-winning campaign last term has helped to edge the transfer door open.

The likes of Manchester United are now reported to be keen, with Lewandowski having shown that he is capable of scoring goals on a regular basis at the highest level.

The 23-year-old is, however, still tied to a contract in Germany and Dortmund are reluctant to sell.

Lewandowski is prepared to keep pushing the issue, though, and hopes he will not have to wait too much longer before fulfilling a sporting dream.

"This (the Premier League) is a league in which I would like to play and I hope to manage that at some point," he said in BILD.

Dortmund are refusing to waver in their stance, though, and believe there is a still a chance that Lewandowski could pen an extension to a deal which is due to run until 2014.

"The reality is Borussia Dortmund, this is just a dream," said Dortmund boss Michael Zorc on his star striker's latest comments.

"There is nothing wrong with someone dreaming of the Premier League. We are experts in handling this."

On the possibility of fresh terms being agreed, Zorc added: "We remain in constructive talks."
