Norwich have confirmed the departures of defender Zak Whitbread and forward Aaron Wilbraham, as well as three youngsters.

Zak Whitbread: Looking for a new club

Centre-back Whitbread, 28, made 48 appearances since arriving in January 2010, scoring in the Canaries' 1-1 draw with Hull in their 2010/11 Championship season, and made 21 starts in the top flight.

Wilbraham, 32, made a total of 28 appearances since joining in January 2011 and scored his first Premier League goal in the Canaries' 3-1 defeat to Fulham.

Norwich boss Paul Lambert said: "I've got nothing but praise for both of the lads, they've been brilliant for the club and it was a difficult decision to make.

"You can't underestimate that they were a big part of what has happened here and people shouldn't forget what they've done and given for this club.

"But that's my job as manager of this football club, sometimes these decisions have to be made and I wish them the best of luck for the future."

Youngsters Matthew Ball, Richard Brindley and Josh Dawkin have also not been retained for next season
