Miller is battling to be fit for Saturday's Euro 2012 qualifier after limping out of Cardiff's clash with Hull with a groin strain.
The ex-Rangers man is progressing well in his bid to be fit, although assistant boss Peter Houston thinks the game might come too soon.
However, Scotland have been boosted by the news that Alan Hutton and Graham Dorrans are in full training, while Barry Robson is expected to take part in Thursday's session.
"There's good news that Alan Hutton and Graham Dorrans trained on Wednesday," Houston told Sky Sports News.
"Barry Robson will train tonight and Kenny Miller is progressing very, very well.
"It might be too early for him on Saturday, but at present he's improving greatly.
"We'll see how he is when we get over there. See if he does anything with the team later, it's too early to say as yet.
"We'll leave that in the hands of the physio, but the good thing for us is that he's coming on great."
