The Dutch forward has been a sensation this term with eight goals in nine games so far.
He grabbed the winner in Saturday's 1-0 win at Crystal Palace, which sent Boro top of the table before Southampton went above them on Sunday.
And the 23-year-old believes confidence is growing that the Teessiders can return to the top-flight.
"I'm happy to keep scoring goals to help the team and, if we keep playing well and winning games, we go up to the Premier League," he said.
"Promotion is possible. We've got a great manager. The most important thing is the way he treats us players. It's a great feeling to be top and we can cope with the fans' expectations."
Emnes looked like heading out of the club under previous boss Gordon Strachan, but upon his appointment Mowbray immediately brought the Dutchman in from the cold.
"The new boss was a different story. He gave me a chance, I'm taking it," he said.
"With him I've got loads of confidence to get on the ball and do my thing. I'm having a good time."
