Bury's Ryan Cresswell will be out of action for up to six weeks after sustaining ankle ligament damage in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Chesterfield.
The defender went off injured after just 17 minutes against the Spireites but a scan revealed there was no fracture.
A statement from the Shakers said: "Following an X-ray to Ryan's right ankle on Wednesday morning, we can confirm that there is no fracture and he has sustained ankle ligament damage.
"We expect Ryan to be out of action for around four to six weeks."
