Darlington manager Steve Staunton has bolstered his ranks with the signing of young Aston Villa midfielder Jonathan Hogg on a short-term loan.
The tough-tackling 20-year-old will join up with former Villa defender Staunton at the Darlington Arena initially until January 2.
Newcastle-born Hogg, yet to appear for Martin O'Neill's first team, was the leading goalscorer in Villa's reserves last season after spending 11 months on the sidelines with cruciate ligament damage.
