FOX SET FOR COLCHESTER RETURN Colchester 6/4 Brentford 15/8 Draw 9/4

Colchester could welcome back David Fox for the trip to face struggling Brentford.

Fox missed Saturday's FA Cup victory over Hereford with a bruised rib sustained in training and was replaced by Kem Izzet.

But Fox has travelled with the rest of the squad to London and could make a return, though Izzet impressed against the Bulls and Aidy Boothroyd may choose to keep faith with the long-serving midfielder.

There are unlikely to be any other changes to the Us side, so Steven Gillespie should be handed just his second start since March after a lengthy absence through injury.

Lee Beevers (shoulder) and Ashley Vincent (ankle) are still sidelined but youngster Medy Elito has completed a three-match ban and will return to the squad.

Boothroyd's men, who have lost just one of their last 16 games in all competitions, could climb into the automatic promotion places with a win, though that would be dependant on Charlton losing at Brighton.

Brentford boss Andy Scott will have the rare luxury of a full-strength squad to choose from.

The Bees were missing Wojciech Szczesny, Pim Balkestein and James Wilson for Saturday's 1-0 FA Cup victory over Walsall but all three will be in the Bees' squad.

On-loan duo Szczesny and Balkestein were refused permission by their parent clubs to play against the Saddlers, while Wilson served a one-match ban.

Myles Weston has recovered fully from a hamstring injury and will fight for a place in the matchday 18, while Charlie MacDonald overcame a groin injury to play at the weekend and should again start.

On-loan centre-back Leon Legge is guaranteed a starting berth after he scored the winning goal against Walsall and earned glowing praise from Scott.
