Stockport manager Gary Ablett is hoping to bolster his threadbare young squad in January, when the club could be out of administration.
County are struggling badly under the weight of injuries and have lost their last six matches in League One to languish in the relegation zone.
Yet with an exit from administration seemingly drawing closer, Ablett is hoping to be able to add some experience to his squad in January.
He said: "We do need that little bit more experience but experience costs a lot of money.
"And it's money we don't have and I doubt we'll have it when we do come out of administration because it's going to cost a lot to bring us out.
"So we'll keep going with what we've got and try to do a bit of wheeling and dealing in January."
